Sweepstake!

So after many requests we are setting up a sweepstake for how far the clio gets.
And the prize? 5 chocolate fish. For those without kiwi knowledge please follow the link; there's no actual fish involved - they're scrummy. So the contest goes:
a) which country will the clio make it to?
and as a tie-break:
b) how many kilometres/miles will we have done by then?
Entries below in comments please, only entries posted before the end of June / when the car dies (whichever is earlier) will be considered valid for the chocolate fish (and only from people we know too, sorry strangers).

Some tips: don't choose Morocco, the clio won't be going there, only us. And it's probably only fair to admit that we're not sure the car will make it into China - the permits are looking ridiculously overpriced on current quotes. And the distances between countries in the route I planned out are if we drive direct. We're very unlikely to do that, rather more likely to get distracted and wander off the path.
No laughs for those who choose Dover either - we've heard it before. Car goes in for its big service next week, so it should be in good enough shape to at least get to France...

Go on, click the comments, put your guess in...

Whilst it may from time to time break down - due to a surprising amount of luck, dogged persistance, some number 8 wire and Ben's belated discovery that putting the heater on full blast compensates for any engine overheating that his indubitable talent as a mechanic cannot fix - I reckon the clio goes all the way.

Now then... I reckon the cheeky little french funster has got 32000 miles left in her. But only if given plenty of tender loving care. So... let's say... Bilbao? Heh, heh. OK, OK, serious business. Hmmmm, I reckon Russia will take it's toll - the engine light will start to flicker, it'll take at least two attempts to start and will cough alarmingly every 43 minutes. You'll limp on to Kazakhstan where the engine will final explode massively at 20347 miles but you'll be fine and a local goat herder will give you a lift to Astana on his horse and cart.

Hold on, hold on - what's Clio's start mileage??

Turkey.

And Mike can get the chocolate fish after someone licks the chocolate off for him.

Ooh, putting careful consideration in by including the start mileage into your calculations...
It'll be about 131,000 by the time we reach Folkestone (Chunnel crossing point). But it is a diesel, so the engines do go for longer... (I'm not sure who I'm trying to convince there).

Have to say I have faith in Ben and Jo and that car has been seen in quite a few locations around the UK, so I reckon St Petersberg with 18250 (yes I think you'll make a few wrong turns and be over your estimated milage!!!)

All the best and the main thing is that you guys both make it here safely! SEE YOU SOON!

I vote for St Petersburg (sorry Bazza) for no other reason than it is one of my favourite places and I'm going for 20,000, because look at all the fabulous places you are visiting - there will be lots of detours. :-)
